‘Goa’ is a breezy story about youngsters and has a message to them. The film ‘Goa’ is tagged as a full entertainer, but may not appeal to the family audiences. This movies explores the relationship of the ‘gay’ to some extent, but is not fully filled with this concept.
Story
The movie is about three youngsters Samikannu (Premiji Amaran), Vinayakam (jai) and Ramarajan (Vaibhav) who reside in the Pannapuram, which is a remote village in the scenic locales of Madurai city.
These three spoilt brats are a menace to the village and so the village head declares that thee three youth must never meet each other and stay together in order to offer welfare and peace to the village community.
Unable to bear the pangs, kept by Village head, the trio decides to run away from the village to Goa and desire to marry a white woman and fly to a foreign country. This track of mind is set by their friend, who followed the same principle and is now flying to London soon.
So, the trio decides to go to Goa in order to enjoy and fulfill their desires. They meet Danny (Arvind Aakash), who lends them shelter and food and helps them to expose to the party culture. In this period, Roshini (Piya) meets a singer in the hotel, who falls in love with Vinayakam and Jessica (Melanie) who is a white lady falls for Samikannu, due to his innocence.
Jack (Sampath) enters the life of Danny and is a gay by nature. In order to make the trio’s love succeed, jack and Danny help them a lot. In this period, Ramarajan meets Suhasini (Sneha) who is a casino owner in Goa. They fall for each other and finally get married. But Suhasini is a bit negative minded and so Ramarajan decides to leave her and escapes the relationship with the help of his friends.
All the friends succeed in their love and Ramarajan is a bit depressed with his dumped love life. The trio returns back to village, after learning the lessons from real life. There Ramarajan gets a surprise as he meets Nayantara.
All ends well in a happy note and is excellently shown
Performances
Premji, Jai and Vaibhav give their 100% to this film and the three stars get into the skin of their characters.
Pia and Arvind Akash play positive roles and have good amount of reel length to expose their acting skills. Sneha, does a dare bare role in her brief appearance. The rest of the star cast Vijayakumar, Shanmuga Sundaram, Anandhraj and Satyapriya justify their presence in the film, in their respective characters..
Yuvan has scored good music which goes with the theme of the movie. A total of 9songs are great to listen and are entertaining.
Venkat Prabhu has given a good film to the Tamil audiences, but the second half looks a bit dragging which takes out the fizz from the film.
On the whole the movie is a good entertainer and is strictly not for the conservative audiences.
